One question settles almost everything on this car. Does your DeVille have a front bench or two bucket seats? A bench makes it a six-seater with no console in the way. Buckets make it a five-seater with a console between them. Different cars, different answers, same badge.
The Problem
On a bench-seat DeVille there is no console to reach over, but the buckle sits low and far outboard against a wide, softly padded cushion that swallows it. On a bucket-seat car the opposite applies: a console runs between the seats and the stalk drops into the slot beside it. In the rear, a 40/20/40 split bench puts the outer latches against the cushion and makes the centre position a different part again.

Six-seat cars: the front centre position
If your DeVille has the split front bench it carries six people, with a flip-down console doubling as a centre front seat. That middle position typically uses a lap belt rather than a three-point belt.
Our extenders are made for three-point belts, so the front centre seat is not covered by this listing. Contact us before ordering if that is the position you need, and we will tell you plainly whether anything suitable exists rather than sell you something that will not work.
DeVille DTS is not the same as a Cadillac DTS
DTS started as a trim level within the DeVille range and later became a model in its own right. From 2000 to 2005 you could buy a DeVille DTS. For 2006 the DeVille name was retired and the car was carried forward as the Cadillac DTS, which ran until 2011.
So a 2004 DeVille DTS belongs on this page and a 2008 Cadillac DTS does not. Check the year first. If your car is a 2006 or later, get in touch and we will point you at the right listing.

Pick the shortest length that works
We recommend adding only the minimum length you need to buckle comfortably. More webbing is not safer, it just adds slack.
1.Set the pillar anchor first
On 1994 to 1999 cars, adjust the upper belt anchor to where you want it before judging the shortfall. It changes the answer more often than people expect.
2.Measure the shortfall
Pull the belt out as far as it comfortably comes and note how far short of the buckle it stops. That distance is what you need.
