Seat Belt Replacement Kits
🇬🇧 UK Stock · Same-Day Dispatch Before 14:30 · ECE R16 Certified
Seat Belt Kits, 2 Point & 3 Point Universal Assemblies
Every kit here is a complete, ready-to-fit seat belt assembly, not just a loose strap. Whether you are replacing a worn factory belt, fitting out a van conversion, restoring a classic car, or adding rear seating to a minibus, you will find a 2 point lap belt or 3 point kit built to bolt straight into a standard mounting point. Static and retractable versions are both available, and every complete kit ships with the buckle, stalk, and retractor housing needed for a full installation. Colour options let you match or contrast with your existing interior trim.
Choose Your Belt Type
🛡️ 3 Point Seat Belt Kit
Combines a lap belt and diagonal shoulder strap in one continuous length of webbing, anchored at three points around the body. This is the standard fitment in nearly all modern vehicles and spreads crash force across the shoulder, chest, and pelvis rather than the abdomen alone.
- ✓ Three-point anchorage for full upper-body restraint
- ✓ Standard fitment for modern cars and vans
- ✓ Available in static and retractable versions
🔒 2 Point Lap Belt Kit
A single strap across the lap only, anchored at two points. Common in older vehicles, some rear middle seats, minibuses, and specialist builds where a diagonal strap is not practical to mount.
- ✓ Two-point anchorage, lap-only restraint
- ✓ Ideal for classic cars and rear middle seats
- ✓ Fits where a diagonal strap cannot be anchored
Static vs Retractable: Which One Do You Need?
⚙️ Static Belt
Fixed-length webbing adjusted manually with a sliding buckle. Common in campervans, rock and roll beds, and classic restorations where a fixed anchor point suits the build better. Set it once and it stays put.
🔄 Retractable Belt (ALR/ELR)
Spools in and out automatically and locks under sudden deceleration or when pulled sharply. The standard choice for daily-driven vehicles where the belt needs to self-adjust across different drivers.
🧵 Materials & Construction
Every kit's webbing is woven from high-tensile polyester, the industry standard for automotive seat belts since the late 20th century. Polyester replaced nylon in this application for specific reasons: it stretches far less under load (typically under 5% elongation), holds its tensile strength when exposed to sunlight and moisture, and resists the gradual wear that shortens a nylon belt's working life. The webbing is woven densely with run-proof selvedge edges so a small snag does not unravel the strap. Buckles and stalks are supplied in durable moulded housings, and where a kit includes a retractor, the housing is built to lock the reel under sharp deceleration. Complete seat belt assemblies in this collection carry ECE R16 certification labelling, confirming they have been tested against the recognised European standard for seat belt safety.
Why Fit a New Seat Belt Kit
Replacing Worn or Damaged Originals
Webbing that is frayed, sun-bleached, or stiff no longer performs the way it did when new. A cut, chemical stain, or a belt that has already been loaded in a collision should always be replaced rather than reused, internal damage is not always visible.
Van Conversions & Campervan Builds
Cargo vans typically leave the factory without rear passenger seating or belt anchor points. Adding seating for passengers is both a comfort upgrade and a legal requirement, and it depends on a properly specified, correctly anchored seat belt kit.
Classic Car & Restoration Projects
Older vehicles were often built with 2 point lap belts only, or with static belts that have hardened and discoloured with age. A modern kit in the original colourway restores both function and appearance without looking out of place.
Minibus, Coach & Specialist Builds
Passenger transport operators and vehicle builders need belts that suit non-standard seating layouts, including rock and roll beds and rear-facing or middle-row positions where a 3 point belt cannot be anchored.

Frequently Asked Questions
🔗 Need a Seat Belt Extender Instead?
A seat belt kit replaces the entire belt assembly, buckle and all. An extender is a short webbing link that clips into an existing buckle to add reach, typically for drivers or passengers who find the factory belt runs short due to seating position or bulky clothing. If your belt itself is worn, damaged, or missing rather than simply too short, a full kit is the right fix. Browse seat belt extenders →
