A 4-point harness needs four secure anchor locations: two for the shoulder straps (typically on a harness bar, roll cage, or rear chassis points) and two for the lap belts (at the sides of the seat, using the vehicle's factory mounting points or reinforced aftermarket brackets).

The shoulder straps should mount at a height roughly level with or slightly above your shoulders, never angled sharply downward, as this can compress the spine under load. If your vehicle lacks suitable rear anchor points, a harness guide bar may be required (sold separately).

This harness is designed to work with bucket seats and racing seats that have pass-through openings for the shoulder and lap belts. It is not intended for use with standard factory seats that lack dedicated harness slots. Using a 4-point harness with a stock seat can cause the shoulder straps to slip off the sides, compromising restraint. Always verify your seat has proper belt routing before ordering. Once mounted, adjust each strap so the harness fits snug against your body with no slack. The lap belt should sit low across your hips, not your abdomen. The shoulder straps should be tight enough that you cannot pull more than an inch of webbing away from your chest.

The 2-inch nylon webbing includes adjusters on each strap. Take the time to dial in the fit before your first drive. A loose harness is nearly as ineffective as no harness at all.
