Fly Comfortably, On Your Own Terms

Asking a cabin crew member for a seat belt extender can feel awkward, and there is always the worry they may have run out. This Type B extender puts you in control: board prepared, buckle up discreetly, and settle in for a comfortable flight without drawing attention.

Why Bring Your Own

  • No need to ask cabin crew: board with confidence
  • Avoid the risk of extenders being unavailable on busy flights
  • Adjustable from 18cm to 61cm for a personalized fit
  • Discreet: use it quietly and carry on with your journey

⚠️ Important Compatibility Note

This Type B extender fits most Southwest Airlines aircraft, but there are two exceptions:

If your Southwest flight is operated on a Boeing 737-800 or 737 MAX 8, Type B will not fit. You will need a Type E extender for these newer aircraft.

Not flying Southwest? See our Type A extender, the most widely compatible option for airlines worldwide.

Which Extender Do I Need?

Aircraft buckle types vary by plane model, not just airline. Use this quick reference to find your match.

Extender Type Best For Compatible With Not Suitable For
Type A Most airlines worldwide British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Lufthansa, Air France, Air Canada, many others Southwest Airlines
Type B Specific Southwest aircraft Many Southwest planes (older aircraft) Boeing 737-800, 737 MAX 8
Type E Newer Southwest aircraft Boeing 737-800 & 737 MAX 8 Most other airlines

Quick rule of thumb: ✈️ Flying UK to Europe or worldwide → Type A  |  ✈️ Flying Southwest (older aircraft) → Type B  |  ✈️ Flying Southwest (737-800 / MAX 8) → Type E

Who It's For

Plus-Size Travelers

Travel with dignity. No need to request an extender in front of fellow passengers or worry about availability on full flights.

Pregnancy & Posture Comfort

The adjustable strap gives you extra room where you need it, making it easier to sit comfortably throughout your flight.

Long-Haul Flyers

On flights lasting several hours, a little extra room makes a big difference. Settle in without the belt digging in.

Winter Travel & Bulky Layers

Thick coats and chunky knitwear can make standard belts feel tight. The extender gives you the slack to stay warm and secure.

Questions You Might Have

1Will this fit my Southwest flight? +
This Type B extender fits most Southwest Airlines aircraft. However, if your flight is operated on a Boeing 737-800 or 737 MAX 8, you will need a Type E extender instead. Check your booking confirmation for the aircraft type, or contact us if you are unsure.
2How do I use the extender on board? +
Simply buckle the extender into the aircraft's existing seat belt, then fasten the other end as you normally would. The adjustable strap lets you find the right length in seconds. No assistance needed, and it is just as quick to remove when the flight ends.
3Is this extender FAA compliant and safe? +
Yes. This extender is manufactured in compliance with applicable FAA regulations. Many Type B extenders are produced by aviation manufacturers such as Davis Aircraft Products, which supplies components used across commercial aircraft. It is designed exclusively for aircraft use and should never be used in cars or other vehicles.
4What if I need a different buckle type? +
Aircraft buckle types vary by plane model, not just airline. If you are flying airlines other than Southwest, our Type A extender is the most widely compatible option. For Southwest's Boeing 737-800 or 737 MAX 8 aircraft, choose Type E. Not sure which you need? Check your itinerary or reach out to us: we are happy to help.
5What does the 1-year warranty cover? +
Your extender comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects and faulty materials or workmanship under normal use. Normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorised modifications are not covered.
