The FF is the most usable car Ferrari has built, with four proper seats, a hatchback and four-wheel drive, which means four belt positions and a cabin people actually load up. The front and the rear present different problems, so work out which seat you are fitting first.
The Problem
Getting into an FF is easy enough, since at 1,379mm it is the tallest car Ferrari made in this era. The difficulty is beside you rather than below you. The V12 sits behind the front axle, drives a rear transaxle, and sends power forward through a separate unit at the front of the engine, so a substantial tunnel runs the length of the cabin between all four seats. The buckle drops into the slot between that tunnel and a shaped seat side, out of sight.

Four seats, and no center rear position
The name says it: FF stands for Ferrari Four, meaning four seats and four-wheel drive. Those rear seats are genuinely sized for adults rather than being a token pair, and the shooting brake roofline was chosen partly to make getting into them easier. Four individual seats, though, means there is no middle rear position and no center belt to extend.
Order by physical side rather than by description: front left, front right, rear left or rear right. On a right-hand-drive UK car the driver's seat is the front right.
Check the rear belts after folding the seats
The FF's boot is roughly twice the size of the 612's, and it gets that way because the rear seats fold. Owners use this car properly, which is the whole point of it, so those seats go up and down far more often than in any other Ferrari.
Every time a rear bench is folded and raised there is a chance of trapping a belt or a stalk behind the cushion. Worth a glance before anyone sits back there, extender or not, and worth checking that your extender is clipped into the receptacle rather than wedged beside it.
Front or Rear? The Answer Differs
Both rows have the tunnel alongside them, but what actually blocks the hand is not the same, which is why one extender rarely serves the whole car.
