The GV60 is the odd one out in the Genesis range. Built on a dedicated electric platform, it has a completely flat floor with no transmission tunnel, so the problems here are different from those in a G70 or G80. Read the flat-floor note below before choosing a style.
The Problem
Up front, the console is the only obstacle, but it is a substantial one, and the buckle stalk still drops into the slot beside it where you cannot see. In the rear the issue is the floor itself. Packaging the battery under the cabin raises the seat base, so passengers sit knees-up and reach further down for a latch that has not risen with them. Add a coat and either position stops being easy.

No transmission tunnel, and that changes the middle rear seat
Every other Genesis saloon and SUV sends drive through a propshaft, which means a tunnel running down the cabin. The GV60 is built on Hyundai's dedicated electric architecture, which enables a fully flat interior floor, so there is nothing to straddle in the middle of the car.
That makes the centre rear position genuinely usable rather than a perch, which in turn means more owners buy extenders for it than in a G70 or G80. The centre belt still uses a different stalk from the two window seats, so order it separately, but do not assume it is an afterthought on this car.
