Hyundai H350 Seat Belt Extender

Product description

🛡E4 & E8 Certified · Built In A UK Registered Factory

Buckle Up Comfortably In Your Hyundai H350

The H350 came as a panel van, a minibus and a chassis cab, and those three have wildly different numbers of seats. A van might have three belt positions and a minibus as many as sixteen. Establish which you have before ordering anything.

The Problem

Commercial vehicles are built around load space rather than comfort. Up front the seats sit close together with a substantial engine housing between them, and the buckle stalks drop into narrow slots you cannot see into. Drivers wearing work trousers, tool belts or heavy jackets run out of belt quickly. Further back in a minibus, passengers reach behind the hip for latches tucked against fixed bench seats, often while wearing coats.

The Solution

A certified extender brings the connection point back to where the hand already falls, in whichever seat you need it. One click into the vehicle's buckle, one click with the factory belt tongue. Nothing is cut, drilled, or modified, which matters on a vehicle that may be subject to inspection.

Exceeds Break-Strength

Built to surpass international break-strength tests for three-point belts.

Which Body Style Do You Have?

Hyundai built the H350 in three quite different forms, and the seat count is the thing that changes everything.

Body What It Is Belt Positions
Panel Van Solid sides, load area behind the cab, no rear seating. Typically two or three, all in the cab
Minibus Glazed sides with rows of passenger seating behind the cab. Up to sixteen, depending on layout
Chassis Cab Cab and bare chassis, usually bodied afterwards by a converter. Two or three in the cab, plus anything the converter added

The Front Bench Is Not One Seat

Most H350 cabs seat three, with the driver on one side and a two-person bench alongside. Those two passenger positions do not share a stalk. The outer one usually has its own buckle beside the door pillar, while the middle position runs from a different mounting, often shorter and angled differently.

So a cab with three seats needs the positions ordered individually rather than as a pair. Tell us which of the three you are fitting, and if the middle seat sees regular use, mention that too, since it is the one most often reported as awkward.

Converted Or Imported Vehicles

European H350s were built by Karsan at Bursa in Turkey, while other markets took vehicles from Korea, Kazakhstan, Algeria, the Philippines or Vietnam, where it is often badged the Hyundai Solati. Specification varies between them, and chassis cabs were bodied by all manner of converters afterwards.

If your vehicle was converted, the seats behind the cab may not be Hyundai's at all. Send a photo of the buckle and the seat it belongs to rather than ordering on the model name, and we will confirm properly or tell you plainly if we cannot help.

Choose The Style That Fits Where You Sit

Three styles across our full extender range. The cab and the passenger area usually want different things.

Style Best For
Regular Woven webbing in 7 inch or 10 inch matching the factory belt. The usual pick in the passenger area, and often in the cab where the issue is a work coat rather than an obstruction.
Rigid A solid section in 3, 5 or 7 inch that stands upright and holds the buckle visible. Worth it where the stalk has vanished down beside the engine housing or a fixed seat base.
Adjustable Woven webbing with a sliding adjuster covering 9 to 26 inches. The sensible choice for any vehicle carrying different people every day.

How It Works

Nothing is cut, drilled, or modified. The whole thing takes about five seconds and lifts straight back out whenever you want it gone.

1

Click the extender's tongue into your seat belt receptacle.

2

Buckle your seat belt into the extender. Takes about five seconds, no tools needed.

3

To remove it, press the release button just like a normal belt.

Pick The Shortest Length That Works

We recommend adding only the minimum length you need to buckle comfortably. More webbing is not safer, it just adds slack.

1.Count The Positions

List the seats you actually need covered, cab and passenger area separately.

2.Measure In Workwear

A length chosen in a shirt often fails in a work coat or over a tool belt. Size for the job.

3.Need Help?

Send your year, body style and seat positions, plus a photo of the buckle.

Questions Worth Answering

1How Many Extenders Does My Vehicle Need?+
That depends entirely on the body. A panel van or chassis cab usually has two or three positions, all in the cab. A minibus can have as many as sixteen across several rows. Order only for the seats that genuinely need it rather than covering every position, since an extender is meant for people who cannot otherwise fasten the standard belt. For most operators that means the driver's seat, the cab bench, and a handful of passenger positions used by people who have asked. Count those and tell us the list.
2I Run A Minibus Or A Fleet. What Should I Order?+
The adjustable extender usually earns its place in a passenger area, because different people travel in the same seats every day and one unit covers a wide range without keeping several lengths on board. Cab seats are better matched individually, since the driver sits there consistently. Send us your seat counts across however many vehicles you run and we will quote the lot together. Worth noting that an extender is for passengers who cannot otherwise fasten the belt, so there is rarely a need to fit every position.
3How Do I Tell Whether I Need Rigid Or Regular?+
Sit in the seat dressed as you normally work and reach for the buckle with your eyes shut. If your hand finds the latch and the belt simply will not stretch to meet it, you need length, so choose a regular extender in the shortest size that reaches. If your hand meets the engine housing, the seat base or a trim panel before it gets near the latch, you need height instead, and that is a rigid extender whatever your size. In a working vehicle the answer is most often length, because the real culprit is a heavy coat or a tool belt rather than an obstruction.
4My Vehicle Says Solati. Is This The Right Page?+
Yes. Solati is the name Hyundai uses in South Korea and Vietnam, and Solati H350 in Mexico, for the same vehicle sold as the H350 in Europe and elsewhere. Worth mentioning where yours came from, though, because the H350 was assembled in several countries: Bursa in Turkey for European markets, plus Korea, Kazakhstan, Algeria, the Philippines and Vietnam. Specification varies between them and seating layouts vary more still, so send a photo of the buckle along with the badge and the year.
5Is It Road Legal Here, And What If It Does Not Fit?+
Our extenders carry E4 or E8 type approval, the European mark showing the part has been tested and approved to the relevant standard, and they are made in a UK-registered factory compliant with ISO/TS 16949:2009 to exceed international break-strength requirements for three-point belts. Read your handbook alongside the safety notes supplied before use. Extenders are only for people who cannot otherwise fasten the standard belt, and should never be used with a child seat or child restraint in any position. Operators running passenger services should check their own compliance requirements as well. If it does not fit, return it within the guarantee window for a refund.
