Toyota Aygo X Seat Belt Extender
Small Doors, Tight Back Seats, Big Reach Problem. Solved.

Meet the Aygo X
Toyota showed the production Aygo X in November 2021, and it went on sale in 2022. It is built in Kolín in the Czech Republic and sits on the same family of underpinnings as the Yaris. The first cars used a 1.0 litre petrol engine. A facelift in 2025 brought a 1.5 litre hybrid. It is a five door crossover with a slightly raised ride height, and it has become a familiar sight on UK streets, in car parks and on school runs.
The cabin is a strict four seater, so there is no middle rear belt to share. The rear doors are small, the seat bases tilt upward, and the buckle can sit tight against the seat. For an adult in a winter coat, a tall teenager, or a driver who likes a roomier fit, the belt can feel just a little too short. A short rigid extender lifts the buckle up where your hand can find it.
Our extender is shaped for the Toyota buckle. It clicks in firmly and your Aygo X reads it as a normal fastened belt. Driving the earlier Toyota Aygo hatchback instead? We have a separate extender page for that model.
🚪
Small rear doors
Less room to twist and reach, so a buckle at the back can be a real stretch.
💺
Snug seat bases
Buckles sit low and close to the seat, which makes the tongue hard to find.
🧥
Layers and bags
Winter coats and bulky bags use up belt length in a small cabin.
Pick Your Pocket Size
Rigid extenders stand upright, which suits the Aygo X's tight rear seats best.
12cm
Rigid
The neat fix for most Aygo X seats. Lifts the buckle just enough.
23cm
Regular
A flexible strap for the driver or front passenger.
25cm
Rigid
Reaches buckles sunk deep into the rear seat base.
36cm
Universal
The longest reach, for larger body types.
The 12cm and 25cm rigid models come in three colours:
Who Loves It
Growing fast, and the belt has not caught up.
Less twisting to find the buckle in a tight seat.
Thick coats and scarves on cold mornings.
Extra length makes the buckle easier to reach.
Not for you if your vehicle is not a Toyota Aygo X, if your belt already fits without strain, or if you want to place it between a child seat and the child.
Tested, Traceable and Properly Made
ECE R16 is the international standard for seat belts and their parts, and our extenders are certified to it. They are made in registered factories in the UK and the US.
Seat Belts Extender was started by Piotr Nartowski. We keep the design simple on purpose: a stainless steel tongue, a strong ABS housing, and no change to your Aygo X's own belt.
