Reach Your C-HR Buckle Without the Stretch

C-HR stands for Compact High Rider, and since 2016 Toyota's sharp edged crossover has become a regular sight on British roads, from city streets to motorway services. It seats five, runs on hybrid power and wraps you in a sculpted cabin, yet the belt can still stop short of the buckle. This extender closes that gap in four lengths and three colours.

Why C-HR Owners Reach for One

🌦

Bulky British winters

A padded coat adds thickness exactly where the belt needs to travel, and the buckle ends up just beyond your fingertips.

🧍

Comfort and mobility

Larger frames, a stiff back, sore shoulders or a growing bump can all turn a quick reach into a real effort.

🪑

The rear bench

Passengers in the back often struggle most, because the buckle sits low and a bit out of sight.

Who We Are

Seat Belts Extender was founded by Piotr Nartowski. We make extenders for many car brands and models, and this page is written for one car only, the Toyota C-HR.

Your Questions, Answered

Will this fit my UK Toyota C-HR?
Yes. It is made for the C-HR and covers the first generation (AX10) and the second generation (AX20) sold in the UK, in Icon, Design, Excel, Dynamic and GR Sport trims, hybrid or plug in hybrid. Every length and colour on this page fits.
I drive a US spec C-HR. Is it covered?
Yes. The US sold the C-HR for the 2018 to 2022 model years, and those cars are covered too. Free US shipping and free US returns apply to every order.
What about the new C-HR+ electric?
The C-HR+ is a separate electric model that Toyota launched for 2026. This page covers the AX10 and AX20 C-HR, so please use our model selector to find the page that matches your electric car.
Where should I start, 12cm or 25cm?
Choose 12cm if the belt only just misses the buckle. Choose 23cm or 25cm if you wear thick layers or want a clearly noticeable gain. Choose 36cm only when you need the longest reach possible.
Rigid or strap, which is better?
Rigid extenders (12cm and 25cm) stand upright, so the buckle is easy to find by feel and they come in black, grey or beige. Strap extenders (23cm and 36cm) are flexible webbing and give the most reach.
Can the rear passengers use it?
Yes. It works in the rear bench exactly as it does up front, so each passenger can have the belt length that suits them.
What if the seat belt warning stays on?
Remove the extender, then seat the tongue again until you hear a firm click, and test it with a tug. If the warning still shows, stop using it and get in touch with us.
Is it safe to use?
It is ECE R16 certified, with a stainless steel tongue and a tough ABS body. It only lengthens your belt and changes nothing else in the car. Keep the lap belt low and flat across your hips and the shoulder belt across your chest.
Can I use it while pregnant?
Many expecting mothers use one to reach the buckle without strain. Keep the lap belt under your bump and low across your hips, and the shoulder belt between your breasts and to the side of your bump. Ask your midwife or doctor if you are unsure.
Can I use it with a child seat?
No. A child seat needs the original car belt. The extender is made for adults and older passengers who need extra length.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing. Shipping is free to the UK and the US, and we hold stock in both countries.
What if I change my mind?
Send it back for free from the UK or the US. You have a 30 day money back guarantee, and a 1 year guarantee against manufacturing faults.
